As part of our 2019 International Women’s Day celebrations, the GOS ICH EDI Committee and Great Ormond Street Hospital are pleased to jointly present a talk by award-winning writer of The Times Magazine's 'Spinal Column' Melanie Reid:

Melanie Reid is The Times’ award winning columnist, social commentator and book reviewer. Each Saturday in ‘Spinal Column’ she pulls few punches in her witty, touching and frank observations of life as a disabled person. Melanie broke her neck and back in a horse riding accident and spent a year in hospital.
She will describe her experiences and talk about her new book ‘The world I fell out of’, a deeply moving and darkly funny memoir about disaster and triumph.
